You have a policy. Everyone has signed the code of conduct. The documents are in the folder. The question this page answers is a different one: is any of it true?
1. Complete the annual self-assessment against twelve standards, and present it to your board.
2. Brief your board and trustees on their responsibilities.

3. Review and re-approve your safeguarding policy.

4. Carry out an organisational safeguarding risk review.
5. Strengthen your child protection and adults-at-risk practice.

6. Build awareness of specific contexts — radicalisation, trafficking, female genital mutilation and honour-based harm.
7. Build the courses into staff training and induction.
