What this is
Written for people who are not safeguarding specialists but are accountable anyway. It covers the board’s core responsibilities, the questions to ask at every board meeting, what the annual review should contain, and what happens when things go wrong — including personal liability and the power of funders to reclaim grants.
When to use it
Give it to every board member on appointment, and revisit it at the annual review.
